The result is a heavy death/thrash record that sounds cheaply recorded, but fits really well into the 1990 era of death metal. "Sepelio en el Mar" still has a lot of the thrash riffing of the first album, but the style takes from death metal in the US for inspiration. "Sepelio en el Mar" (Burial at Sea) is the second studio album by Transmetal and it marks their transition into a death/thrash band. I enjoy it for it's frantic energy, primarily. CD released on Discos Denver in 1994 including the "Desear un Funeral" Mini-Lp, but omitting track #5 "Desciende a la Oscuridad". Originally released on vinyl only by Avanzada Metálica in 1988. except 'Muerto en la Cruz' and 'Los Criminales Morrian' by Alberto Pimentel.

The first full-length release would be "Muerto en la Cruz" (Died on the Cross) Contrary to popular belief this first LP was not produced or recorded by Eric Meyer of Dark Angel fame. Their first demo would be called "Velocidad, Desecho y Metal" (Speed, Waste and Metal). The brothers Partida had been in a band called Temple de Acero, but in March 1987 they decided to start anew with a thrash/speed metal direction. Transmetal originally formed in Ciudad Azteca (Aztec City), a place that was, at the time, in the outskirts of Mexico City.
